THE THUNDERBIRDS LOSE TO THE ALAMEDA COLLEGE COUGARS 86-83

The THUNDERBIRDS turned over the ball 26 times and gave up 23 points in transition and still had a opportunity to beat the Alameda College Cougars but lose 86-83. The THUNDERBIRDS have to turn it around quickly as they are still in the hunt for a playoff birth.

Once again the THUNDERBIRDS win ugly and defeat the Contra Costa College Comets 96-93. The THUNDERBIRDS never trailed in this game but allowed Contra Costa to come back and make the game close. The THUNDERBIRDS are 6-1 in Bay Valley Conference play so far.

The THUNDERBIRDS played with urgency and were able to come up with a big win on the road at Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, Ca. The THUNDERBIRDS displayed passion and determination and fought there way back in the game to victory in overtime off of Jalil Eppenger 3 pointer with 5 sec left in the game. THE THUNDERBIRDS DEFEAT THE MENDOCINO COLLEGE EAGLES IN STRONG FASHION 102-67

The THUNDERBIRDS played two solid halves on the defensive end and defeated the Mendocino College Eagles by the score of 102-67. In the first half the THUNDERBIRDS had a lead of 18 points but allowed Mendocino too come back and went into halftime leading 39-36. In the second half the THUNDERBIRDS played more passionate basketball on the defensive end that contributed to 18 steals. Final score THUNDERBIRDS 102 MENDOCINO COLLEGE 67.

IN THRILLING FASHION THE THE THUNDERBIRDS DEFEAT ALAMEDA COLLEGE 93-90

The THUNDERBIRDS had a 2 week layoff before the start of the Bay Valley conference season and it showed as the THUNDERBIRDS were down 7-0 to start. After that the THUNDERBIRDS took control of the game going in to halftime 44-40. In the second half the THUNDERBIRDS had a lead at one point of 20 points but the Alameda College Cougars fought back to take a 1 point lead. The THUNDERBIRDS showed poise and executed down the stretch in the last 2 minutes to win 93-90 vs the Cougars of Alameda college.
