THE THUNDERBIRDS WIN BY 1 IN THRILLING FASHION AT HOME IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA REGIONAL PLAYOFFS

In front of a packed THUNDERDOME the THUNDERBIRDS defeated the American River College Beavers with 12 seconds to go  63-62. The winning basket was a tip in by Marcos Castrillo with 5 secs left in the game. The THUNDERBIRDS played solid defense and displayed good ft shooting 21/26 for 81%. The THUNDERBIRDS must improve there offensive patience so that they reduce there team turnovers and gain a offensive rhythm.

The THUNDERBIRDS came ready to play for 40 minutes in sophomore night and won in strong fashion over the rival Contra Costa Comets 78-62. The THUNDERBIRDS played strong defense, out rebounded, and executed against the Comets consistently to obtain the victory.

The THUNDERBIRDS displayed a spirited effort against the Los Medanos College Mustangs and defeat them 88-80.
